[unpaid/ad/samples] I really look forward to new releases from KURE Bazaar – they’ve got such an eye for colour editing and seem to catch seasonal moods really well. Now that my nails are in much better condition again after a brief weird spell, I’m enjoying painting them again (currently a bright red). This selection is just beautiful for spring with an edgy pastel theme – the first one I want to put on my own nails is the grey shade.

The shade names are Rose Quartz, Mineral (grey), Cotton (nude) and Mint. I went down a bit of a rabbit-hole looking for the best way to describe Mint because I thought Eau de Nil described it best only to discover that (obvious when you think about it), Eau de Nil gets its name from the River Nile – literally translating as water of the Nile because, in the Victorian era when Nile cruises were fashionable (probably still are) the water was a pale blue-green. Who knew? Anyway, if that’s the criteria, Mint doesn’t really fall into it because there is no blue but it’s not exactly mint either – Creamy Mint maybe.

The brand is already known for using natural ingredients (although you can never have 100% natural polish) they’ve gone a step further this time to take their pigments from elderberries, radishes and sweet potatoes.

Remember, these are painted on to a white base colour wheel (which I chip off old polish and reapply to cut down on plastic but it does look a bit ropy now) so you might want to consider putting on a thin base of white first to really get these shades to the colour in the bottle.
